36 Hour Video Challenge

Queenstown-based video production company, Shotover Media, is embarking on the challenge of shooting 36 promotional videos, in 36 hours for 36 local businesses this month (August). This is offering the local business community the chance to upgrade any digital marketing material with high quality media. All the profits are going to the Wakatipu Community Foundation’s Greatest Needs Fund.

“We are thrilled to be involved with Shotover Media’s 36 hour challenge! What an amazing opportunity for local businesses to build back better than ever and jump start the process with a beautiful new video to showcase their companies. We are all about building community resilience and this couldn’t fit more perfectly with our mission,” said Jennifer Belmont, of the Wakatipu Community Foundation. “We are so grateful that our Greatest Needs Fund will be the recipient charity for the proceeds from the challenge.”

The seed for the idea came from how Shotover Media could create a suite of media for SME’s to professionally update their digital marketing assets at a time when they most need to shout about themselves, all while watching the bottom line. “The smaller businesses in town are run by owner operators who are part of the fabric of the Queenstown community, our friends and our neighbours” said director Pete Whittaker. “We’ve tested the concept and with years of experience we’re confident in being able to smash the challenge, give something back to our local community and a charity that has been a life line to the district. If it’s a success we’ll be looking to roll this out annually, so I encourage you to get in touch to see how you can get involved.”

A challenge specific website has been set up at www.shotovermedia.com/36 which contains more information, examples and a way to log your interest. Alternatively, get in touch at [email protected].
