YES! We are finally open!
I’m sure I’m not the only one who’s relieved to be in Level 2. It’s definitely been a trying time for a lot of people, parents and businesses, but we can finally see the light beyond this madness.
This month I feel everyone will be in need of some pure relaxation, so I’ve decided to explain to you all the amazing holistic therapy treatments we offer at The House of Beauty Therapy.
Holistic Therapies Many of them dating back to the Egyptian era and before, these treatments are relaxing for the mind and body. They also provide amazing health benefits that can ease many symptoms found within a variety of conditions.
Different types of holistic therapy treatments we offer:
Indian Head Massage
A deeply relaxing treatment based on Swedish massage techniques used on the scalp, back, neck and shoulders. This treatment is adaptable and can be performed with or without oil and laid down flat or sat in a chair. The treatment works by connecting the chakras to aid in deep relaxation. One of our most popular treatments.
Treating the whole person, particularly weak or ill areas, by using the feet as a map of the body. On the feet there are zones, which correspond to the organs and systems of the body. By pressing on one of these zones, the corresponding organ in the body is affected e.g. pressing on the tip of the big toe will cause a response in the brain. A regular course of reflexology will help ease certain symptoms related to the mind and body.
Also known as Hopi or thermal auricular, it’s an alternative medicine practice to improve general health and well-being by lighting one end of a hollow candle and placing the other end within the ear canal, drawing out ear wax and liquid from the ears. Benefits include relief from sinusitis, tinnitus and headaches. We perform this treatment with an additional face and scalp massage to aid in relaxation.
Reiki means universal life force energy in Japanese. Reiki healers can act as channels for this universal energy to pass into the client. By using the hands in certain positions, on different parts of the body, the therapist draws energy to the body, promoting healing, balance and deep relaxation. This is a very ancient Japanese treatment known to balance the energy of the soul through complete connection.
